The Natural Aging Process

As we age there are a number of changes that occur to the overlying skin, fat pads, and underlying bony structures of the face; repetitive muscle contractions produce wrinkles, skin loses elasticity, fat pads atrophy, and bony remodeling occurs. The combination of these intrinsic factors cause the face to appear aged, saggy, or hollow in certain regions. There are a number of extrinsic factors that can cause the skin to appear more aged such as sun exposure, tobacco, and alcohol use. By using a combination of injectable dermal fillers and neuromodulators, we are able to provide you with a more youthful appearance. When placed correctly dermal fillers can restore structural support that give the face a more youthful and smooth appearance, and neuromodulators help to provide a smoother appearance to the skin by temporarily paralyzing underling musculature.
